After introducing its M1 processor in MacBook last year, Apple has launched an all-new iPad Pro with the same processor. The new iPad Pro comes in two screen sizes — 11-inch and 12.9 inch. With the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Apple has also introduced new Liquid Retina XDR display. Also, the iPad Pro gets 5G connectivity for the first time.
Apple iPad Pro: Price and availability
The new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be available in silver and space grey finishes. iPad Pro is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB configurations.
The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 71900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 85900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 99,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 1,13,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.

The M1 chip in the iPad brings the 8-core CPU design delivering up to 50 percent faster CPU performance than A12Z Bionic. The 8-core delivers up to 40 percent faster GPU performance. With the M1 chip, Apple claims that the battery life of the iPad Pro also gets a boost.
The new Liquid Retina XDR display brings the performance of the Pro Display XDR to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Engineered with a new mini-LED design that uses over 10,000 LEDs across the entire back of the display, the Liquid Retina XDR display features up to 1000 nits of full-screen brightness, 1600 nits of peak brightness, and a phenomenal 1 million-to-1 contrast ratio to enhance creative workflows.
The new Liquid Retina XDR display includes other advanced technologies that can also be found in the 11-inch iPad Pro, including ProMotion, True Tone, and P3 wide color support.
iPad Pro also gets support for Thunderbolt and USB 4 for the first time.
Apple iPad Pro: Camera specs
The TrueDepth camera system on iPad Pro features an all-new 12MP Ultra Wide front camera designed specifically for iPad, enabling Center Stage, a new experience for video calls. Center Stage uses the much larger field of view on the new front camera and the machine learning capabilities of M1 to recognise and keep users centered in the frame.
