Samsung News: Affordable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite Smartphone Not To Launch This Year

NEW DELHI: Earlier this year, it was reported that Samsung will launch an affordable foldable smartphone. Likely to be called Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite, the smartphone was expected to launch along with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3.
However, a new online report suggests that you will have to wait a little longer for an affordable foldable smartphone. As reported by SamMobile, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 later this year and you have to wait longer for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite.
The report adds that the company might launch the smartphone in future but not now.
The report also suggests that the company might be working on a double-fold Galaxy foldable smartphone. This new model is expected to be released by the end of this year.
An earlier online report revealed that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip2 smartphones in Q3 this year.
If this is true, then this would be the second smartphone from Samsung not to launch this year. Recently, the company announced that it will not launch a new Galaxy Note series smartphone this year.
During Samsung’s 52nd annual shareholder’s meeting, DJ Koh, co-CEO of Samsung’s IT and Mobile Communications division has confirmed that this year it will be difficult for the company to release the new Galaxy Note 21 series.
Koh added that the reason behind this is the shortage of chips and clash with the existing products. To recall earlier this year, Samsung launched that Galaxy S21 Ultra which comes with S Pen support.
Koh also mentioned that the company is not doing away with the Galaxy Note series and Samsung will come up with the Galaxy Note 22 series.
